About Whipped

Most recipe apps start with a recipe. Whipped starts with your week: who’s eating, what they avoid, what’s in the fridge and what you want to spend. Recipes are one tool inside the plan, not the point of it.

What it’s for

Whipped does three jobs, in this order:

  1. Plan meals for the days and meals you choose.
  2. Cook with what you have, so the plan starts from your Kitchen, not a blank list.
  3. Keep track of what’s about to expire, so it gets eaten first.

Every plan is weighed against three things you rate from 1 to 5: convenience, money and flavor. You can shift them for one plan by saying so, like “keep it cheap this week”.

How it uses AI

Plans and recipes are written by Anthropic’s Claude. Narrower decisions, such as whether a recipe contains one of your allergens, whether two shopping lines are the same item, or how long cilantro keeps, go to a separate classification model that picks from fixed answers. Dates, counts and quantities are handled in ordinary code.

The allergen check runs on Whipped’s server for every plan and recipe. If it can’t run, the request fails instead of skipping it.

What it doesn’t do

  • It doesn’t track every item in your pantry. Kitchen holds what’s worth remembering.
  • It can’t guarantee a recipe or product is allergen-free. Always check labels.
  • It isn’t medical advice.
  • It doesn’t get every recipe right. Use your judgment, especially with raw ingredients and cooking temperatures.

Your data

Your plans and recipes are private to your account. The app measures usage with its own first-party analytics; it has no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Deleting your account in Settings deletes your data with it.
